    Media Creation Tool automatically chooses Windows 10 Pro, when it should be W10 Home

    Okay, I reset my T100TA to factory then I went right away to the Windows 10 upgrade with the Media Creation Tool, I chose the Upgrade option so it would do all for me. ( I did not make any update, just made a reset and straight to upgrade)

    After all the things were done then the last window said:

    "Install Windows 10 Pro" , but my Windows is 8.1 with Bing, so it should go with the Windows 10 Home, not Pro, right?

    Did this happen to anyone?

    ps: I contacted Microsoft support, the dude said to restart my computer, then redownload the MCTool, then try it again. Gonna do this now.

    You could choose to upgrade another PC and there you could choose which version, e.g. Windows 10 Home-32 bit, to use:

    Hi dude,

    You need to add a file to the media.

    [HOW TO] Preload drivers for clean install of Windows 10

    If you add a file called "ei.cfg"
    Make a new txt doc and put this in as the data:
    //start of ei.cfg
    {Edition ID}
    {Channel Type}
    {Volume License}
    //end of ei.cfg

    **remove curly braces and ignore comment
    Home or Professional or Education Or Enterprise, only one
    OEM or Retail
    [VL] == Volume License
    0 or 1

    To the sources folder on the install media

    The latest 1607 iso will let you activate with a oem key if it was previously activated on that machine before
