    Question Where is the kitchen?

OK guys, I am ready to dive into ROM buiding, oh joy, have to learn somewhere,

I have just begun my research here: How To: Create Your Own Custom ROM for Android, Part 1 ? Setting Up The Android Kitchen | TheUnlockr

I am wondering why no one has begun building a custom ROM for the Prime, minus the fact that the bootloader is locked, we all know that will be remediated soon.

Can you guru experienced guys give me some advice, suggestions, links to good info, anything that would help me get started as well as what your thoughts are on upcoming ROMs for the Prime, do you yourself have plans for a ROM.

Didn't you answer your own question? Recovery is currently not a usable option for us. Read up on what that means...

I am going to go out on a limb here, but I have not seen too many ROM developers on this forum. Most of them hang out over at xda-developers.com. You could check over there and see what you can find.

Yeah....xda is where the development is at. That's where I go to see new progress. Just be prepared for more kurt, snappy answers. They have a reputation for having no patience and are very clicky.

Ain't that the truth..lol. That's my usual stomping grounds. I'm very active in the Prime forum over there. That is where the developement is at though. We already have several developers getting ready for unlocked bootloader and already doing major things over there. That's how I I have my Prime overclocked to 1.6Ghz already. Even figured out a way to Max out all 4 cores to 1.6Ghz. Battery will drain alot faster though. We have several root methods, Linux on it, and more. Even some themes going on.

Beware though, its alot of complaining, crying, and whining going on over there from a small number of users that have devices with Issues. We also have THE Asus Technical Marketing Manager over there on the forum helping people out. He has 3 sticky threads over there that addresses some of the issues and gives support.

Once bootloader is unlocked the Real developement will begin and developers will hit the ground running.
