dropped prime and it won't turn on

Hows everyone doing? probably better than me. one of my crumbsnatchers dropped my tablet. It was in a case (leather) and the screen IS NOT cracked thankfully...there is a minor scratch and dent on the bottom corner of the casing otherwise it looks daggone new. I can charge it up apparently because the indicator light shows. When I hold down the power button the tablet vibrates. The only issue I can see is the screen will not turn on. I am at a lost for how to fix it. It was working perfectly fine until the accident. I just want to get it back to where it is working again like it was before. Any tips, help, or advice would greatly be appreciated!

Sorry to hear that...if you have a mini hdmi cable, try hooking it up to a tv and see
if it's functioning. Could be something came loose in the tumble. Guessing your 2
options are to rma it back to ASUS for a repair job or open it up yourself. I know there
are you tube vids of folks cracking tablets open, something you could watch to see if you'd
like to tackle it. If.you send it in for a fix, be sure to take pics and/or video of you wrapping
the tablet....good idea to document it's conditon before shipping. Welcome to the site.

You might have just a loose cable. This might help...http://www.transformerforums.com/for...own-links.html

    Hey guys,

I decided it was worth it to crack open and try my hand at fixing it myself. Well I'm typing from it right now...didn't lose any saved stuff...thanks for the help! Better than sending to Asus and shelling out cash.

yakabud, More than likely a loose cable. Try checking those out if you decide to open your tf. One other thing you could try, Take your tf into a dark room & shine a torch at the screen if you see anything its a loose cable... Check out Youtube video`s for tips & tools needed to open your tf101.

Oh, & Welcome to the forum...

    Thank you for the tips.

Yes, I can hear it powering on but no display. I can see some white (light) shade on the screen though. Will open it up when I get home.
Again, thank you for the tips.

So, what was wrong? How easy was it to repair?
