unknown SN

I have asus transformer prime tf201 and I send it to asus maintenance because there was a problem, anyway they fix it now and rest the tablet to the factory settings, but I was checking in the settings and I found that the serial number is unknown!!!!. how could I add the serial number??please help.

Hi Kabdo - welcome to the forum. I suggest you contact an Asus rep - Tien - he has a member Id - Asus_USA

Send him a Private Message using the link near the top of this forum page and mention it to him. He may have some ideas on what happened.

Also - near the bottom of this forum page you'll see Similar Threads - this problem has come up before. You can check those threads for some ideas... Good luck.

By the way - you posted in the TF101 section. I'll move this to the TF201 help section for you.

There is a fix called ratchet which can be found at this link. This fix was developed when a large number of Primes had unknown serial numbers. You can't take an OTA with an unknown serial number I believe.
