    Where is the SD slot

I just received a my new Tablet and I wanted to play some of my movies that I have on a micro SD card. It appears to me that the slot is on the left side of the device, but does it come with some sort of rubber plug in it? How do I get that out? The instruction are really bad.

    Thanks in advance

    Bill

    Welcome Bill

Just press it in - use your fingernail - its a dummy card to protect the slot It is on a spring, so its press in - clicks out, insert microSD, press in against the spring until it clicks in & registers in the notification bar ( where the clock is, bottom right. )

Sounds like you are newish to this sort if device, so be sure to read through the links in my signature, downloading the user manual from Asus & read/watch the Android guides, too.

You posted in tf101 help, but your profile says you have a tf201, so I moved this to tf201 help.

    Janner43,

This is a really great Forum. I've been lurking for a while trying to learn.

Thanks for the help. But I do feel somewhat stupid. Yea, it does push in and then pop out. I just needed something small enough to push on the edge of the insert and not part of the side of the case.

    Bill

Be VERY VERY cautious using that slot. A lot of people get the card in the wrong way and it hangs up. It's an extremely easy thing to do!!

NI don't remember a dummy card in the slot, but to get my new 64 GB micro SD card out of the adapter case, to put it into the tf300, I ended up using a knife to get enough room to pull it out. It is a SanDisk. Not sure I would use that adapter case again. But I guess it is the microSD card that has almost no lip on it that causes the problem. Has anyone else had that problem? Any solution?
And I guess I should put some tape over the slot in the Transformer to make sure the microSD doesn't pop out on it,s own. Any suggestions as what to use other than duct tape.?

    PS
I just reads the post about beware the SD card. Darn it warned about not pressing the micro SD slot thinking it the power button!!! Now I have to worry about doing that!!!! I am putting some tape over it now!
