    How to maximize battery life?

    Hello,
my name is Udi and I have a new Transformer Prime. I wanted to ask how do you maximize the battery life? from all aspects - is overcharging right? is full discharging right? etc.

    thanks!

    Hi Udi

If you want to get the most life from your Prime the best thing I have found is to let it get to around 20%-35% before charging. You can't really over charge it and from an even lower % it still shouldn't take more than 2.5-3 hours for a full charge.

The biggest issue is getting the most from each charge. No using active wallpaper, not mail checking too often, keeping blue tooth off when not in use, (and maybe even the WiFi if you're watching a locally stored movie) will all help maximize each charge.

Are the live wallpapers a big drain on battery life?

They use more CPU and GPU than static wallpapers. Also you can notice performance issues in some games and instabilities in some apps when using them.

Another biggie is the screen brightness.

Keep it to the minimum that you can tolerate. This will be huge in helping maximize your battery life. If you go to the full brightness of the IPS+ on the Prime, you can pretty much watch your battery drain.

reducing brightness and killing off any unneeded radios are the key to longer battery life.
