    TF201 that needs a miracle.

I've heard rumors that there is a member on this forum that can unbrick any tf201. With any luck the member is still on the forum and can offer some assistance.

I have a tf201 that is currently stuck in a cwm v5.8.0.2 recovery boot loop. My PC does not recognize the tablet, I've tried multiple drivers, default, asus, naked drivers, you name it. I've tried booting into APX mode for fast boot (power + vol up), nothing happens.

I'm not sure if there are any options left, short of a RMA.

Any help is welcomed and appreciated.

    Hahahahahahaha.

You know how to use adb?

    adb shell
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p4 bs=100 count=1
    dd if=/dev/zero of=/dev/block/mmcblk0p3 bs=16 count=1
    exit

    Now, reboot.

Get a linux live CD and try it (just don't shut down after installing adb or it will disappear out of RAM). Linux has good luck with ADB I have found...

    Cool Dejavu!

Let me guess... you did a Factory Reset AFTER the bootloader was unlocked and CWM was flashed (using ROM Manager, no doubt)... Now... ask me how I know this?!

Hold the PWR and VOL DWN for about 10-12 seconds. You should see some white text apear. From that point, your prime should link up to your PC (if you use the drivers that were just provided you).

Before you shell, do an 'adb devices' to see if it's there. If not, they trying the remaining shell commands will do nothing.... sortof like talking to yourself...

If all else fails, do a full wipe. Also try putting an OEM ROM update on an external SD (Fat 32) and do the proceedure above. Your prime should see the update and start flashing...

If that fails, you can crack the case and tap the EPROM SD directly (which requires a preist, a rooster, 2 cups of orange capo tea and a knowledge of CMOS surface mount electronics.... you may substitute the priest with a rabbi.. not sure, will have to check the scrolls).

    Good luck!

Bummer. You may want to check out this thread [HOW-TO] Unbrick your Transformer Prime (or not) - xda-developers and read through all the pages (33). There are a couple of guys who have been helping many to recover form various bricks and will help anyone who asks. They have had a pretty good degree of success. Good luck.

I'm curious. What is this "booting from the micro sd" thing?
