    Black screen with colored lines- help!

    My EeePad suddenly went black with colored lines across the screen. I was playing a game and all of a sudden this happened. I have tried to power it off and reset it but nothing is working. This is brand new- I just received it about 2 weeks ago and am very discouraged that I'm already having problems with it. Any help would be greatly appreciated!

    Sorry to read of your problem. But don't panic.
    1. Try a cold boot (hard reset). The process is linked from my FAQ & help link, below.
    2. If that doesn't work, try a long (up to 60 second) press on the power button. If that does reboot the device, do the cold boot & then uninstall that app.

    If neither of those work, given the age of the device, then just get it exchanged.

    Thank you for your quick response. I tried both of those methods but neither of them work. It seems like my tablet is working, but I can't see anything on the screen. Also, it takes about 10 seconds for me to turn it on using the power button now. I may have to replace it, however, will I lose all my apps? I paid for some of them and would be very disappointed to lose my money.

    In that case I would get it replaced without question. No, you won't loose any of your apps. They are linked to your Google account , not your actual tablet. When you get your replacement, if you use the same account, you will get all your apps available to you without further charge.

    Don't forget to,protect your privacy by Factory Resetting prior to return.

    If you cannot see the screen, get yourself a cheap micro hdmi to hdmi cable so you can see what you are doing after connecting your tablet to a TV.
