    USB issues?

Let me first say that I'm LOVING my Prime. It's been a fun and functional device, relatively easy to use. I have two issues that may/may not be real issues, so thought I'd see if the knowledge base has any solutions. I'll separate them so the threads stay separate.

The first is a possible USB problem. I've used the Prime as a way to transfer videos I've taken and to view them with students. I've also transferred several of them to flash drives so the students can take them home. I've had a few cases of not being able to read the flash drives and I'm not sure why? I've got 3 different scenarios w/3 different types of fd's so the only consistent part is my USB drive.

Plugged one flash drive into my Windows desktop, it says it's not formatted. She uses a MAC, so we thought maybe the fd format was just incompatible. Second person has a new fd which isn't even recognized on the Prime but fine on my desktop. Third fd is one I actually used previously to transfer a file from the Prime and now it won't read it and it's not recognized by my desktop, either. 3 different issues or something going wrong w/my Prime's USB port?? Thoughts??

I too am having issues transferring/moving files to a usb flash drive. My Prime easily recognizes my flash drive and I can view/open all files. My issue comes when trying to copy or move a file (when in Polaris Office) to the flash drive to print off from a PC/laptop. I select the file to move, click "Move", select the location, enter "select", then I get a "Failed to copy". The bad part is. . . THE ORIGINAL FILE IS GONE!

My lesson learned is copy the file don't move it, that way if it fails, at least I still have the original file.

Any help on how I may locate my original file and resolve the issue would be appreciated.

@InTheDogHaus, First try a hard reset, (instructions in a link below), and if that doesn't help make certain the drivers are formatted FAT32 or NTFS

@TSandPT, The format part is important but primarily I would suggest a different file manager. ES File Explorer is a good start. Do not depend on Polaris for anything of importance.
