Prime locks when attached to keyboard
Hi
My Prime works fine when just used as a tablet. However when I attach the keyboard to it, I get the Eeepad Asus screen, and nothing happens. If I boot up via just the creen, when I attached the keyboard it freezes and neither the tablet not the keyboard work.
I have the latest firmware etc - would a reinstall help? If so, how do I do this? Have tried the power/volume reset and Andy comes up, but then I get Andy fallen over with a red triangle and exclamation mark? If I then remove the dock and reboot it's fine.
All help gratefully received!

Welcome to the forum, to perform a reset, power off the Prime, Hold Volume Down + Power until the white text appears above the logo at the top of the screen, then wait for the text to give instructions on how to "Wipe Data"
It sounds as if you are pressing Volume Up after reaching the white text, that is for recovery, you need to wait for it to say Wipe Data

Transformer won't boot: Clicky
Power / Lock button issues: Clicky

Hi - thanks - tried that - get a screen with white cogs and an orange warning triangle?
Also whilst the screen is showing this, the email notification noise beeps now and again, so it seems that this is running in the background? Weird!

TRANSFORMER FORUMS LEGEND
Do you happen to have a USB or SD inserted in the Prime Dock that has a zip file in the top level directory? Or maybe even in the microSD slot?
Sounds to me like it is trying to upgrade your firmware but it is failing.

Hi - no, neither. No external storage devices are attached

It sounds to me like your dock and tablet dont make a full connection. You are having the same experiences I do. If I plug the tablet into the dock, and apply pressure to the top of the tablet while opening and closing the two halves, I can get it to find a sweet spot. That doesn't mean it's usable, but it's a hardware issue with the connector. Maybe the pins might have been damaged at some point. Or maybe the the docks receptacle doesn't make good contact to it's other components. I'm going to try to swap docks first then if worse comes to worse tablets.
This is the weakest link in the product. A tablet with a keyboard, a huge feature, and it has a flakey connection.
