There are a number of questions here.

Did you want to transfer via Wifi?
Is it ok to transfer via usb cable?
Do you have a Micro SD card for your TF?
Do you have a reader for your PC?
    ...

Answer those and I can give you an update on each of them.

A quick search will turn up,lots & lots & lots of answers!

But... micro SD card, Dropbox, direct cable connection using the "charging" cable - 40pin in the tf, usb in the pc. Take your pick

    It is possible.

There are many many ways to do this.

Most basic - plug your TFP into your computer using the supplied charging/USB cable. It should show up as an MTP device. Transfer away.
MicroSD - transfer files to a microSD card from your computer, pop it into the prime and transfer using the File Manager.
SD/USB - Same as MicroSD but you must have the keyboard dock to do this.
WiFi - Set up shared folders on your PC (share with everyone or share with specific users) and then use File Manager HD or ES File Explorer to copy from the network shares.

It all depends on your level of techiness and what you think is easiest. WiFi is the slowest, USB is the fastest and most direct (especially if your PC has USB 3.0 ports) and the MicroSD/USB is a bit more cumbersome.

    thanks for the replies
I do not have a MicroSD card.

    1) If I use the wifi were is the "Manager HD or ES File Explorer", is it
on the TF201 or the PC?
    2) so I can just plug the charging cable into the PC USB port. I thought
the charging cable was only for charging. It will not hurt the TF201 or PC?
    thanks again for helping

You may have to play with the usb connection on the tablet to see the device as "mass storage" This is the little bit of work that Fred eluded to. Sometimes this just works. Sometimes this is a pain.

    thanks again for helping
    Good luck!

I like the wifi transfer myself. But this means you need shares on your PC. This is pretty easy these days though.

I get the impression that you are new to the tf. Let me gently suggest that you do a few things to help you with the "learning curve"

    1. Download the user manual for the tf201 from the Asus website
    2. Read/view the honeycomb guides linked below. While you are probably using ICS, the differences are not that great & you will still get a lot from these earlier guides.

All the best, & enjoy your device. If you are not familiar with Dropbox, let me reassure you & recommend it to you. If you only use it to transfer files & not store anything, you will still find it useful. Search for it on the market or check out their website.

With regards to a microSD card, it is a useful (& inexpensive) thing to get for your tf. Copying files to it is a very easy way to get them backed up & available to other devices (and vica versa)

Here's an alternative: Download from the market Andreas Liebig's FTPServer. Works like a charm for me
