    Honeycomb vs ICS

I just ordered my TFP 64 gig yesterday and should have it by Tiues/Wed - I've been reading the forum and various sites, now I'm not sure if I should upgrade to ICS or not, there seems to be a number of issues. One forum said a fix will be out early February....any thoughts on whether I should try ICS or stick to Honeycomb until the issues are resolved?

    Hi sewcrazi,

I put up a post a week or so ago with a video showing some of the headline features of ICS on the Transformer Prime. Overall it's a significant update to Android, adding some much needed polish and improved usability. I've had a couple of freezes in the last couple of weeks since updating my Transformer Prime but I assume there will be fix coming soon. Nothing terminal but you may want to hold off a little longer if these new ICS features aren't critical for you.

Thank you, that website has gret information. So if I upgrade to ICS and have issues, can I roll back to Honeycomb?

No worries, as far as I know there isn't an easy way to revert back to Honeycomb. Asus locked the Transformer Prime down, this will change with an update coming in the next few weeks apparently, but for now I don't think you can do it. To be honest, even when they do unlock the bootloader, it still wouldn't be totally straight forward to roll back. If it helps for comparison, you can also find a couple of videos I did of the Transformer Prime running Honeycomb before I did the update here - http://whattabletpc.com/operating-sy...ycomb-tablets/

Thank you again, that answers my question. It really isn't that I won't like ICS but I don't want any issues that some people have been reporting so I may stay with Honeycomb until the fix comes out. Of course curiosity may make me get it right off the bad <G>
