    Angry Dropped Tf101 in Water

Had my original transformer on my nightstand and the air conditioner leaked water all over it. It was on but shut off when i picked it up. Could have been due to low battery as well. I then wiped the water off and tried to turn it on, the screen went a bluish color then shut off. its sitting in a bag of rice right now. any suggestions past that? or is this futile? I don't want to get stuck waiting 8 months for win 8

Hopefully you didn't fry something when you powered it on wet! But at this point I would leave it to dry out for a good 5-7 days before trying again.

Give it a good week like Mickey said. Keep shifting the rice every 4 hrs or so. There is hope. Just have some patience, and cross your fingers. I was able able to save a power brick and cord that went thru a wash cycle with a rice bag. I know many iphone users that resurrected their wet phones. The TF is just bigger. Hope it works for you!

Definitely don't try and turn it on until you think its completely dried out. My electrician friend told me that. He was able to save his sons iPod after it got wet. There's hope!

Bag of rice is one of the most recommended solutions.

And it really does work if you give it enough time.
