stupid question re. attaching keyboard, do you remove the rubber thingee's?

OK, so this is a really stupid question, on the two little slots where the keyboard attaches to the prime, there are little rubber thingees in the slots in the prime. Do you remove these? Or do they push in when you attach to the dock?

Most definitely remove them! I used a paper clip end in the little hole in each one ... could not get them out with my fingers.

The dock will not seat properly unless you remove them

OK, thanks! I figured that, but since the manual didn't say anything about it, and I hadn't seen anyone else post about it, I was being very cautious... Just turned it on for the first time after the 8 hour charge, it's updating now...

Definitely need to remove the "rubber thingees" in order for the Prime to engage with the dock. This step definitely should have been in the manual that came with the dock! I was also confused and worried that I was about to break something by removing those rubber inserts.

    Enjoy your Prime!

Manual? What manual? LOL. In this day and age, you get a two-page list of parts and buttons; then it's "good luck". I wish there were a manual somewhere. As a noob to tablets and and Android, I am using "wildly flailing" as my learning technique. Oh, yeah: and this forum.

You can download the manual from the ASUS Support site here: http:www.asus.com/Eee/Eee_Pad/Eee_Pa...F201/#download Select Android from the list and then Manuals.

Here is a direct link (for now) to the English Manual: http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/Eee...n_20111206.pdf

Check the first three links in my signature for some getting started tips and tricks.
