Transformer prime will not turn on

So I got my tablet yesterday and let it charge all day. After 8 hours I went to turn on the tablet but nothing happened. I held the button down and felt a vibrate after about 15 seconds.When I plugged it in to charge it would make a noise and I have held the power button for 30 seconds along with doing a hard reset and still nothing but vibrations from it. Can anyone help me?

How about VOLUME DOWN and POWER for 10-12 seconds?

If it is at a black screen when you try to turn it on, it is most likely in APX mode. Hold the power button for 30 seconds, then release. Then a 3 second press to power it up should work if this is the case.

I just tried both and neither worked. I will look through the link and see if anything else can help. Oh and the charge light doesnt come one either

I have also tried everything else in that link but none of it works. Does this mean I am doomed to wait till asus can get it fixed

FYI for anyone else, the Prime uses haptic feedback, (vibration) to indicate the power button has been held down long enough to turn it on.

Back to the problem, you say the charge light on the power switch doesn't turn on. Did it ever turn on as far as you know. If not, the charger or the cable may be the issue, but you said you tried all the things in Fred's links. Sounds like the charger may be a dud.

The Prime also has a reset button on the right hand side below the speaker or HDMI port. You could try a paperclip to reset it with that as well.

If you hold it upside down it is the right side! Considering I do not have a Prime, I would say that was pretty close

That also works if looking at the backside. BTW: the hole is so small it's easy to miss. It is almost exactly half way between the SD Card slot and the lower left corner, (when facing the TFP right-side up)

I have done the reset button and when I hold the power button it vibrates after a little and when I press is for a sec or 2 i feel a slight vibration. maybe its just not charging because the light never came on but when I fist plugged it in it made a noise indicating the charger was plugged in
