    Prime Vs Lenovo

    Thoughts?
Does the 2GB DDR3 really matter?
I've been trying to get feedback. So..I guess I just start a thread.
I'm 100% for the Prime, but like to have others thoughts on the Lenovo.

2GB would be great but I doubt alot of apps would use it anyway. Lenovo, correct me if im wrong, doesn't do updates as fast as ASUS does. 1GB should be good enough in the Prime. And you will get fast updates. What would you really use the 2GB for anyway and the design for the Lenovo isn't the best IMO. There will be better Tablets than the Prime im sure but right now Prime will handle everything I need

Personally I prefer putting my money on the Transformer Prime. Asus' original transformer was a success and I am sure the Prime will be even better. I am also pretty confident that Asus will be on top of their game when it comes to updates.
I am not sure Lenovo will be able to beat the transformer with other specs.

The keyboard option from Asus is also a big plus.

It sounds like a few manufacturers such as Lenovo and Acer are planning on putting out models with higher resolution screens which is certainly going to make the tablet market a lot more interesting. But until there's pricing or availability it's tricky to know how competitive these are going to be. After all, the Prime is essentially the tweaked design of a product that's already found a certain niche (because of the keyboard dock accessory it's been able to differentiate itself somewhat from other tablets). Whereas arguably Lenovo and Acer are unproven. The other key for me as far as Asus is concerned is their prompt and regular over the air updates. The more competition the better though.

I forgot about the resolution being higher as well...still though they have yet to actually show off this tablet and Asus is a solid name and was very solid with the Transformer. As stated I just wanted to get others thoughts.

It's possible the Lenevo are viewing it somewhat as a dry run for Windows 8 later next year. While the Arm version won't be so bogged down with the requirement to have to run legacy apps I have a feeling it will still benefit from more memory. Coming back to Android though, maybe it will help having more memory in being able to cache web pages more easily. One of the things that slightly annoys me on the transformer right now is when you go back to a previous page it results in needing to send all the page information again (whereas it could simply be paged from memory). If Lenovo do some development of their own then there could be some advantages with the extra ram.
