Will the Transformer TFT101 32G keyboard dock work with the prime?

    Howdy,
My missus is holding out to get the new Prime when it lands in Australia and we sort of assumed that the dock from my transformer would work with the new prime. I haven't heared any confirmation that this is true, we just assumed. can anyone clear this up for us. Of course i'm hoping it would but shoud she just get the prime with the dock of its own otherwise?
would love to hear you comments or suggestions.

Nobody knows for sure one way or the other. Until someone actually has one in their hands it may be a SWAG.

Early reports on the internet stated that the keyboard dock would be compatible with Transformer upgrades, but the new descriptions for the Prime suggest otherwise. Engadget (ASUS Eee Pad Transformer Prime: 10-inch Super IPS+ display, 12-hour battery and quad-core Tegra 3, ships in December for $499 -- Engadget) for example shows official pics of the thinner Prime with aluminum housing and matching keyboard which looks very different than the original keyboard dock. I doubt the old dock will match the custom fit of the Prime, but even if I'm wrong the colors and surface material will not match and will look odd. Personally, I would just get the new dock. Enjoy!

I just bought the 101 cheap from Best Buy. Not as good as the $249 Black Friday special, but still only $299. I thought about waiting for the 201, but I couldn't pass up the price. Plus, my son is monopolizing my wife's iPad and she kind of wants him to get his own tablet (and I'm not buying another iPad). So I thought I might pass the 101 along to him and get the 201 for myself in a few months. I just called Asus because I want to buy a dock, but I was hoping at least one of the two docks would be compatible with both models. The guy I spoke with was kind of cagey about it. He said they haven't tested to certify it, and it might not work because the 201 is thinner and a different shape. But he didn't say it wouldn't work either. I think we're probably stuck until someone gets their hands on the Prime and tests it with the old dock, or tests the new dock with the 101.

That is really a shame. In my case, I got the original TF101 Transformer with the dock, but I found I didn't use the dock as much as I thought. I have considered upgrading to the Prime, and being able to use the original dock would have been a major plus and a good reason for getting the Prime. If I were to get the Prime, I would definitely not get the new dock (not because I didn't like the dock, just because I wasn't using it that much). So if I'm not going to get the new dock and the old one isn't compatible, then there is no longer an incentive to select the Prime and not another another brand when I do upgrade. I still love my TF101, and the Prime would be a strong contender, but it's now no longer the only one I would consider. ICS is a big plus for the Prime, but only if I upgrade within the next month; after that, others will start coming out with it. It doesn't sound like this was a good marketing move for Asus.
