Re: [OFFICIAL] TF201 JellyBean Thread
so - is everyone planning to just take the JB update for the TF201 as soon as it lands or are people gonna wait and see how stable it is first? I really want JB but my TF201 has been pretty stable on ICS recently and not sure I want to risk it going crazy again. I'm also still unclear on whether I can sideload Flash onto JB without rooting first and that is putting me off too?
Be good to hear other people's views on the upgrade vs don't upgrade question...

i think unless you wiped it off of your machine you will still have it -flash player even after the update! Am I right on this?

Yup, if you just do the OTA update, you will retain flash. You can also sideload the app without rooting, you just have to make sure the setting to allow app installation from unknown sources is checked.

I have the Transformer Prime TF201 and I am ready to throw it out the window. Biggest waste of 500$ I have ever spent. No matter what, I always get the "browser is not responding". Even when I am simply looking at a basic website. I have done a reset and all of that, still it does it. It happens EVERY TIME I browse the net. It sucks, and I am sick of hearing people tell me to "root" it or whatever. Guess what....not everyone knows how to do that, and there is no reason I should have to modify my device that I paid 500$ for, to make it run smoothly. This Jelly bean update better fix this. Anyone else have this issue? The "not responding" error. I always have to ht "wait" and then it's fine. I have tried multiple browsers including dolphin, the stock browser Quick ICS, etc. All do it, even after a factory reset with no apps from the market installed.
So, I hope this Jellybean update fixes this issue, as I have read in other forums of people having the same issue and being very frustrated. IF this update doesn't fix the issue I will never buy another ASUS product again. This was supposed to be the cream of the crop, and turned out to be a 500$ piece of junk...hell my Galaxy Nexus makes this tablet look amateurish
