i keep reading all these WiFi woes.... however since ive had my TF201 (the re-release version w/ the metal back) , i dont have any WiFi issues... only issues i come across w/ connectivity is connecting to my WiFi HotSpot via my HTC EVO 3D hotspot app, i just chalk that up to cell phone carrier fail....

My guess is that your mobile is using an ad-hoc WiFi connection. ICS does not natively allow ad-hoc connections for some reason.

Perhaps a different tethering app may be helpful there.

Hey rp what does your serial (first 3 characters) begin with? Mine is C40 I have had mine for about 2 1/2 months and I have not experienced any of the well publicized. Wifi issues....man I really feel for those who have Wifi issues. The reason I am asking is I believe Asus did some tweaking on some TF201 models its the only explanation why some are ok and others ate having issues.

i know the they released it it was like a plastic style body, and shortly there after had a recall because of some issues with WiFi and Batteries..., and when they did what they did to fix the issue, the re-released it and the 2nd version came with the metal brushed back...

funny thing is i went in to buy an iPad ... but once i laid my hands on this thing it was quad core love @ first sight ...

but for what i use it for i know im not even using its full potential ...

Try downloading PdaNet and FoxFii which allow you to connect through bluetooth.

Try downloading PdaNet and FoxFii which allow you to connect through bluetooth.

Oh come one ASUS! Release all TF models Jellybean at once! Not just one then leave the rest waiting. I'm waiting to reset and install fresh jellybean hopefully to fix freezing and crashing games.
