[OFFICIAL] TF201 JellyBean Thread - IT'S HERE!

Hello! This is my first post here! I also posted on the xda developers forum but it`s been about five days and no one has responded.

I bought my TF201 in Japan so the SKU is JP. I have been waiting for the JB update to show up on the Asus site or through Check Update on the device but it never showed so I emailed ASUS. Here is their response!



Is this normal for them to not include a certain region? I know the ICS update was slow for Japan but it did eventually come.

So my question is should I wait and see in hopes that it might be released, or should I root my device to change the SKU?

asus japan are very late to release firmware updates

presumably they leave it as late as possible and then release as stable a version as possible

today my tf201 said jellybean was ready, and it's just rebooting now after the install

if you hear no more from me about it

it went smoothly;o)

Can anyone help me get jb on my prime? I think I've downloaded the firmware (ww version) from Asus' site. I can't seem to move it or unzip it properly. When I try I get a kind of low res image of the folder which eventually leads to a file named 'blob'. I tried clearing DM and CM clients but it still doesn't appear as an OTA option.
