I've been unable to get this fabled application/registration page as it was reported on egadget. I am contacting ASUS to verify it's validity.

its not official yet. if you can't get to the registration page please don't antagonize ASUS for support over a leak. Just be happy it will be addressed shortly. There's also another thread (earlier creation ) that discusses this.

I went to the VIP area as well.. but still got nothing, HOWEVER "antagonizing" seemed to bring about a different bit of info. Upon calling and getting a live person, their response was "we're sorry about that, some people get the option while others don't and we are working on making sure it's available to everyone, thank you for also bringing it to our attention, in the meantime would you like me to register you over the phone for the GPS extension kit?"

I registered but never got a form. I called in but the person I reached told me that the device wasn't available yet and I would be informed when it was made available to members. Kind of cryptic but as long as it comes soon I'll be happy.

Tried to register my prime on the VIP site but just returned errors with my serial number. Nothing goes smoothly with Asus it seems, looks like I'll be going back to my Gen 1 iPad as that just works, period.

you probably just got your zeros and O's mixed up. The O's are the fatter ones and the zeros are skinnier, for me there was an O towards the beginning of the S/N but the ones at the end were all zeros
