Please, please let us know how this goes...
This happened to me on my TF201 as well, about 5 months after purchasing it. Woke up to a cracked screen after screen was shut all night. Keep us informed and any help/advice on where to go will be greatly appreciated.
Thanks so much in advance.

Hey Guys,
My transformers screen cracked after 2 weeks of mild use. I noticed the crack after opening the tablet while docked. Initially I thought it was caused by my pressing of the power button as the crack started at the bottom of it. As you can see from the picture attached it is more likely that the screen cracked under the duress of being opened with right hand at the top right half of the tablet. This is force which the tablet should be able to withstand with no problem whatsoever.
The retailer has rebuffed my RMA calling it customer damage while Asus today have asked me to post it to them but leave me liable for the £35 postage fee if they decide it is my fault and I decide against repair. I would be very keen to here the outcomes of the posts below, did Asus eventually bow to pressure or did they stand their ground. What kind of repair costs did they charge for a new screen etc?IMAG0343.jpg

My was water damaged and they told me it would cost me $460 us dollars to repair motherboard and screen, nothing i could see was wrong with the screen. So i'm waiting and thinking about the new 700tf but i'm scared of something happening again after having the first for only 4 month at the time of damage. Insurance for the tablet is expensive.

Then you'll need to be scared of purchasing just about anything as water damage certainly wasn't the fault of Asus.
