Prime HDMI Success
I am just wondering about this as there are at least 2 of us so far whose Primes have stopped playing HDMI to TV as it appears that the HDMI port has loosened up from the motherboard! When I first got my Prime it worked great but right after the ICS update it stopped working but it did work a time or two after updating.
There are several HDMI issues people are having from no video to no audio to no nothing! Anyway, please take a minute to do the poll and leave a comment about your experience. Also interesting to note is do you use the HDMI often such as 4 times or more a week or occasionally 1-2 times a week. I am sending my unit off to have the HDMI port repaired and I hope this will be a 1 time fix! I plug the HDMI cord in almost daily and it should hold up to that kind of use!

So far 9 people have voted and 3 haven't fooled with it, 4 say it works great, and 2 of us get no audio or video on the screen. So that's a small sample size but as of now it is a 67% success rate.
We need more testers please!

My HDMI stopped working. I know it worked post ICS, but now it seems the port is loose and I can't get the HDMI notification to show up. I've tried 4 different cable/adapter combos with no luck.
I travel during the week and would really like to use the TP for movies in the hotel. This is one of the main reasons I bought it. I know I have to RMA, but I'm waiting until they get their act together and the wait times come down (I may be waiting awhile).
Can't vote from tapatalk - sorry.

Please make your way to the regular web and post your vote their if you don't mind. As for the RMA, another user informed me that Asus had determined that his port was coming loose from his motherboard. Mine has a lot of play when I plug in my cable as well so this may be a larger problem than expected. That is why I'd like to get an accurate idea thru the poll.
Thanks.

Good morning everybody! Thanks for the updates... Now with only 4 rejects and 13 working great that is a 75% success rate but it also gives me more hope that hopefully Asus can repair my issue and I'll have many happy days of HDMI use ahead!

My audio was not working until I found a trick. With the prime disconnected, turn the volume to mute. Then connect the prime and turn the volume up.
Also, at first my screen did not fit my TV right. I changed the TV settings to "Fit screen" and that fixed that problem.

Video and audio via HDMI to TV works for everything except Google rental movies. Just get a a blank screen for them.

Voted! Haven't tinkered with it yet. Need a micro HDMI to HDMI cable right?

Mines works fine, outputs audio for movies to my surround sound just fine.
