mine works good. Only plugged it in like 4 times though. I could certainly see that port wearing out if you're using more often
Mine works great every time!
Mine won't pick up a signal; no audio or video!
Mine plays the video but no audio!

I haven't tried it yet!

I just got my cable yesterday and I need to do the so-called "mute" trick posted by WuTangWindu.
That said, I did vote --> Works great everytime.
I am a little biased. I love my Prime and this trick (although I shouldn't need to do it) does make it work great.
I wonder if this is related to the the cheap $5 Amazon cable I bought?

mine works fine. i use it to watch netflix on a samsung lcd hd tv.
one time the picture quality went loopy (scrambled image) while viewing netflix video, but not still images. thus i assume a netflix app issue.
also, subtitles appear on the tablet, not the tv, again likely an app issue.
Thanks again everybody. We have about an 80% success rate as 35 work great and 9 have issues so it is a bigger problem than just a couple here and there if the same pattern should continue!
Current Devices:
Samsung Galaxy Note 10.1 - iPad 4 - Samsung Galaxy S4
I don't use mine daily but I do use it about once a week and it has worked perfect since the day I got it. Also I have a 32gb champagne and have done nearly every update, currently I'm on .14
Transformer Prime 32Gb Champagne Gold with 4 cores of raw processing power!!!
I have a clear image but no sound. The 'trick' mentioned by a few, of muting the tablet before connecting then raising volume, has no effect for me. I didn't try it under Honeycomb, to know if it was an introduced issue, as when I received the Prime the ICS update was awaiting. No idea whether the cause is hardware or software related at this point so the route to a solution is unclear. I naturally want to be able to have sound via HDMI so hopefully a resolution will be found. Other than this issue I am loving the Prime so far.
Unfortunately I do not have flat screen with HDMI port, so I can't test my prime, but I have tested it via my computer LCD screen (Dell) with HDMI port. It works great no problem but logically with no sound.
Mine works on some TV sets but not my Panasonic plasma. Port has always been VERY loose.

Mine works fine, not that I use it. Just plugged it in the my AVR to test it out. With several PCs, and an entire rack of AV equiment there is no reason for me to plug a tablet in to a 60" HDTV when I have other devices that will do the same thing and better.
Unfortunately I'm one of the luck 3% with excellent video and no audio. I've only had access to one display to test it on, an older Sony. Will be trying it on some other devices soon. Not sure what to hope for...
Nothing works including the mute tricks. I'm also a WW SKU so I'm still on the old firmware so I get lots of crashes and other gremlins.
Only had the Prime a couple days now and I love everything about it except for how buggy it is.![]()
Will wait patiently for the new firmware and see where this thread goes with HDMI. Need this for work, so it needs to be stabler than it's been so far, that's for sure.
