I don't know the answer to your question, but I do want to gently suggest that the issue doesn't warrant quite the intensity that your post conveys. As you have already been unhappy with the quality control of your devices to date, I can only assume that you - quite reasonably - like your purchases to be "just right". There have been quite a number of heated threads over the Prime, we don't need yet another one

I hope you get a cogent response to your question. One idea for you, perhaps ask Asus technical support? They have always been happy to answer my questions when I have had them.
