Different size 32GB primes WTH!? Did ASUS rip you off for nearly 1GB?

I own 3 Transformer Prime tablets. All 32GB, 2 of them are C serial number, one of them is B.

The B and one of the C is showing 27.67GB TOTAL SPACE, (-NOT!- Available space), and the third which is also one of the newer C models, is showing 26.89GB total space. So on the third tablet, I am clearly missing nearly 1GB of total storage space. What size is your total available? Is ASUS using different manufactures for their internal storage, or do I have one that was formatted wrong. Want to get to the bottom of this, but all 3 of these should be the same exact size (and the colors are 2 grey, 1 champagne however the champagne and one grey are the ones showing 27.67, and one of the greys is showing the oddball 26.89GB)

I returned 2 in the past due to faulty HDMI and dead pixels, and as I recall they were both in the 27.xx+ range.

OP - as someone new to the forum, let me welcome you & thank you for your involvement here

I don't know the answer to your question, but I do want to gently suggest that the issue doesn't warrant quite the intensity that your post conveys. As you have already been unhappy with the quality control of your devices to date, I can only assume that you - quite reasonably - like your purchases to be "just right". There have been quite a number of heated threads over the Prime, we don't need yet another one

I hope you get a cogent response to your question. One idea for you, perhaps ask Asus technical support? They have always been happy to answer my questions when I have had them.

I apologize if I somehow managed to break some rules of your forums, but again I think you might have taken my plainly written text, a bit too seriously.
My quality control issue was an HDMI port that flat out didnt work (also stuck pixel but I wouldn't have returned for that reason alone). The other return wasnt quality control at all. Was just stating that Ive seen 5 of these tablets, but only one of them under 27GB.

Mainly I wanted people to check under storage, in settings and see what the size of the total space is. If some users are getting 26GB and others 27. Ive been a computer engineer for over 25 years, wasn't trying to start a "heated" thread. This more than anything, just baffles me, that the size would be different amongst the same model #. Its not even enough for me to return it, just rather annoying, ya know? How large is your reported total internal storage space? Maybe make this a poll to see if these sizes are varying.

Oh--I guess after re reading my subject, I guess I was a bit annoyed when I wrote the text. I just dont feel like returning it, my 3month old daughter is very ill in the hospital and Im pretty much living in UCSF hospital, with no end in sight. I've also been to 5 different best buys all over the bay area, purchasing these three tablets, and I think my wife will divorce me if I drag her to another one LOL ... I apologise for being on edge, but having 700MB variance, pretty big annoyance. But believe me, I love this product, and love ASUS, been buying their motherboards for 20+ years.

Your observation on the differing space on your flash drives is interesting - I must say it warrants a question, myself. Perhaps other members will check theirs for you We are a friendly bunch on here - although things got a little heated when the Prime came out (understandable given its price) - & I'm sure those with 32gb will look. I just wanted to try & prevent any more heat on the subject.

My sympathies on your current family health issues - I'll say a prayer for your daughter - we will all be rooting for you & yours.

PS My wife & I visited San Francisco in 2004 - beautiful city, we really loved it.
