First time tablet owner, light bleed question new prime. Anyone have sample pic's?

I received my first ever tablet the 64gb prime yesterday.
All charged up and ready to go today.
I searched around the forum and found different topics about light bleed but I'm unsure if what I have is considered bad enough that I should return it for a replacement.
Can I get some feedback per my picture of the light bleed I'm seeing? Is this about normal if there is such thing? Would you return it?
    Thanks in advance.

    Welcome!

All IPS displays have some light bleed.

Yours is marginal in my opinion.

Mine is not that bad, but I would consider that acceptable. I'll assume that its only really visible on a black background. at the end of the day its all about what is acceptable to you however.

As an example, my TP has 4 stuck pixels, but since they are only visible when I am trying to see them on a completely black background, I choose to just leave it be. if something doesn't bother you there is no reason to worry about it. plus' it does come with a one year warranty, so you can always reserve the right to have it repaired later...

    hope my 2 cents helped.

    Do not settle

I bought one last night from Best Buy, exchanged it this morning, and will exchange this one tomorrow. Both have light bleed like your's as well as dead pixels. I have seen Prime's with neither issues so I know they exist. Considering I paid over half a grand for this, I will return every Prime the local best buys have in stock until I get one that is built correctly. Companies need to have their feet held to the fire when it comes to their downward spiral of quality control. If you pay that much money for a device then it should meet or exeed your expectaions.
When it becomes cheaper for a company to just make it right in the first place instead of having to take back half their stock and "refab" them for sale at a lower price everyone will be better off.

    OK, off the soapbox now...

Just be careful you don't spend all your time exchanging Primes instead of using them. As has been stated, some light bleed on most screens is endemic to the LCD technology, and while it may be possible to find one that has no leaks, it's a rare occurrence.

Just download one of the many free apps from the app store. on a blk. screen I had 10 stuck pixels on my first and 8 on my second, both with light bleed but neither as bad as yours...

Its possible to fix a stuck pixel but not a dead pixel. There are programs that rapidly cycle through colors that can "shake loose" stuck pixels. It worked for 2 of the stuck pixels on my prime, the app I used is called jscreenfix. Most stuck pixels aren't noticeable during normal use anyways.....
