    Question Transferring Files

I know somebody posted a question same but my concern is, I wanna transfer pictures from my camera to TP so I can view them easily and some other purpose. Can I transfer the pictures from TP to a PC with a USB kit or I have to have this tablet rooted? I don't care right now the other files but mainly for now are pictures since we're going on vacation, although I have spare SD cards and a small laptop, I would like to see if TP is capable of doing this. With my concern, this will also help me decide on getting 32 or 64gb. Thanks a lot

If you are using windows you should be able to. You may have to save them to a different directory, but I think windows should be able to see your DCIM folder... Have you tried connecting your TP to your computer yet to see if you can see it in a file manager on your computer?

Once you plug your TP into your laptop/desktop, it will read it as a separate device and will allow you to see the contents of both internal storage and external microSD card. From there, it's very easy to move content back and forth.

That's good to hear. will try it after I finish charging. 64GB then probably is a way to go for me... But if this one works out everything ok... I guess will stay with this for the price.

Just connect the charge cable to prime and to the pc and you can transfer files. Prime will show like a separate storage. no need for any stupid and bad programs (Itunes), just plug and play.

If you have the usb adapter you can connect the camera directly to Prime and the camera will be shown like a storage card/device on Prime and ju can transfer pictures. And if you buy the keyboard dock you don't need the adapter because they dock have a usb port.

I have tried this with my basic Panasonic camera from 2008.And it works nice.

hope you understand a little from my bad English skills.

I have been successful using the Asus WebStorage App on my prime. You would create an account on WebStorage on your Prime and also download the Asus Desktop PC Sync to your PC. You log into WebStorage on your PC using the same account information you used to create the account on the prime. Once created you can just drag the photos to the Upload Folder in the Sync Folder in the WebStorage Folder that has been automatically created on your C drive when you installed PCSync. You then open WebStorage on the PC and sync the files. Open your WebStorage App on the Prime and there they are in the Sync folder ready for download to the Prime. If you forgot any files on your PC you can use the same App to take over your PC running PC Sync remotely and upload more.

All of this has no wires and after the first few times works quite seamlessly (apparently from my trials of it).

Thanks all for the input. If it will just a normal storage device, which it is, answered my question. I have a 3.0 SD card reader, which I don't wanna take with me because I was thinking of just connecting my camera to my TP and move pictures over. I don't plan to buy the dock so that is out of my option. All I have to think is if I will be really needing 64GB or be fine witht 32GB. But I do appreciate your inputs cause it got me confused with the "rooted" thing being discussed.

MicroSD can be up to 64GB(formatted to NTFS) - if you are going with the Prime only.
