    ICS Camera issues

I got a new firmware update for the camera a few nights ago, but yet to update. But after reading on here, a few poeple have experianced a broken camera after the update. True or not true? I don't want to risk of this happening and calling Asus and having them tell me it's not thier fault. Anyone know about this new ICS camera update? And should I update or not update?

i updated to ics and then the camera update and it broke it (can take pictures but the viewer is all messed up), dont do it, you can update to ics(which makes the tablet so much faster) but try not updating the camera firmware and let me know if that works

    my camera version is: x9900

i am hoping asus releases a new firmware to fix the compatibility issue with ics, i called them and they told me to wipe all my data and go back to 3.2, uuuggghhhh

i know that some folks have been able to update everything just fine but i was not 1 of the lucky ones, also if after upgrading you are havng alot of crashing issues let me know

i got my prime on friday (13th), everything (wifi included) works great. When i turned it on (first time), it automatically upgraded to ICS. Some time this morning (16th) i got a notification about an ASUS Camera Firmware update. The camera seems fine as it is. My camera version is x9891

I installed the camera update right after I upgraded to ICS, and everything was fine. Still is.

I'm having issues with the front facing camera. The rear one is working fine, but when I try to switch to the front one I get an error that says Can't connect to camera. Installed updates as soon as I got my prime, so I'm running ICS and camera version x9900. Any suggestions?

I went ahead and updated tonight after I got the update notice again after a few days of not getting it. It took about 5 min to download and install. Everything seems to fine with it no issues so far. But my wife keeps saying we need a case for it, not sure if we should get a case or something from skinomi.com. Probably will get something soon as the weather starts getting nicer and a bit warmer.

I ordered a screen protector from skinomi ... I'm VERY happy with their customer service. I returned my first TP because of the camera issue and called skinomi asking if they replaced the screen protector for a return and they said no problem. The phone call lasted approximately 3 minutes and got the screen protector in 1 day. California to Virginia in one day is amazing to me. haha. Just be sure to keep the old screen protector to send it back...

Case and point: Skinomi is the way to go.

Does anyone else notice how loud the lens is when focusing? I didn't use the camera too much before the update, but dont remember it being so 'clicky'. I just wanna make sure that's it's not an issue with my device only, but when I tap to focus, the lens area is very audible...
