    Rooting ICS

Lot's of people are "waiting for the ICS update to root", so I am guessing Android works as same as iOS in that once you update, your jailbreak/root capabilities are gone. Would RazorClaw still work after the ICS update? Or will we have to wait a while for root softwares for ICS to come? thankyou

seeing as how the bootloader unlocker is coming out at the same time, I don't think you will be waiting too long for root with the ICS update if it gets broken in the update

You have put the cart before the horse so far that the cart disappeared into the fog.

AFAIK, RazorClaw only works on the 8.6.5.18 and .19 and 8.6.6.18 and .19 firmware. the latest (.21 and .23) fixed the RazorClaw holes. Currently, there is a method called NachoRoot that works on all hardware, all firmwares for the ASUS tablets. This may change after ICS, but only time will tell.

IMO, if you really want to root (other than just to say you rooted your device) and plan to run a custom ROM, there is no reason to wait. Most of the developers are pretty quick about getting the ROMs updated with the latest firmware when ASUS releases an update. You may have to wait a few days to get ICS, but you will get it soon enough.
