Exclamation Can't believe I'm sayin this...but alas... I must return my Transformer Prime

What a day today. My dog, a faithful and dear Goldie had to be put down after many many months of health problems and as if that weren't tough enough to handle, my TP stopped charging.

I've tried all the tips and tricks, NOTHING. I must say I'm not happy with Asus about the QC's...HOWEVER (put the torches away) I'm not one of those people who are going ot jump on the "bash ASUS bandwagon" It is what it is. I will patiently await my new A. TP and hope to have one within a month.

For what it's worth, charging issue aside, I seemed to have a great unit. No backlight bleeding, no scratches, no GPS issues, no major wifi issues. I can only hope to get so lucky next time. Maybe it's all for the best for now, maybe latter (yes latter) batches will have some of the quirks ironed out. Also I can now cancel my dock order and just hope to get the dock and prime from BB at the same time instead of getting one from Amazon and another from BB or any other company.

Overall this device is beast... no real complaints. Can't wait to replace it. Maybe I'll get a champagne one instead and name it Goldie in honor of my dog lol.

Have you tried gently spreading the prongs inside the charger housing? The housing unit pops open fairly easy and resolved someone else's issue earlier today. Here is a link to the other thread.

I have written a guide that has all the tips and tricks from around the forum for charger issues. I encourage you to check the link in my signature for "Charging and Boot issues". Perhaps you have tried all of these, including the freezer.

    Cheers.

Indeed I did. Charged just fine last night, was at about 16 % today, plugged it in and nothing. Tried several tips to no avail. (Battery life is AWESOME on this thing though ain't it? lol)

Cool, just checking. Many users have tried a few things, but not all.

Sad that a bad charger is what is killing your tablet right now..

And now i'm REALLY torn! Decided to say a prayer (that's what Pastors do lol) plugged it in ONE last time before I hopped on my trusty steed to the nearest Greatest Value store and voila... Charging. Shall I hold on to this until there are more availavle? (I have until January 24th) or should i go ahead and return it? What to do what to do?
