Unwanted Brightness changing on prime please help
got a question about the screen. Some times I can sense and see that despite of auto brightness off that the screen adjusts its brightness by itself. It is a little change but my sharp eyes can see this... Do you have a similar thing?
it looks like prime adjust the contrast / brightness by it self even if autobrightness mode is off. it happenes while watching youtube, browsing www or playing. it happenes like this on all 3 performance modes but it is more aggresive on battery mode (power saving mode)
Do you notice the similar thing?

I have seen that but only when I had it in power saving mode. That mode is only good for something like word processing but not much else.
-
Are you sure you cant see this on the other modes? I see them on all. Can you try to make some more tests please?
I just want to know if this is software thing that all users have or my hardware is broken?

I have not seen that anywhere else but in power saving mode. You might want to give a hard reset a shot. See my sig for instructions, you will not lose anything.

Well hard reset didnt work. I think this is software issue. One guy on xda wrote he has the same issue.
-
well is there any who can see this issue or am alone here? or maybe my eyes are to good?

I have the same brightness issue, but only in the power saving mode. I have read that using the normal power setting with the IPS off is the best settings for battery life.

I too have experienced this. All 3 modes if the brightness isn't high enough the contrast will change as needed. I was told this is a power saving feature within the tegra 3 chip.

I had called Asus to get an RMA(again) and brought up this issue and they said that is not something the TF201 should do. They will be fixing that along with the wifi on mine so ill see how it is after.
