I had the same problem happen to me today. The tablet indicated the update was complete and the screen froze. I attempted the hard reset as well as wiping the data back to factory reset and both were ineffective. Also ended up on the phone with ASUS and am RMAing my tablet as well. Wish I read this thread prior!

Have any of you who contacted ASUS gotten your RMA info through e-mail yet? I talked with the lady over 1/2 an hour ago and still nothing. I would have thought it was automated.

I received my RMA email prior to disconnecting the call with ASUS. Not going to ship it out until tomorrow in hopes that a cure is somehow developed. Will miss the tablet and have a feeling it won't be returned promptly due to all of the back-orders.

Maybe jumping on the bandwagon too soon is not the best idea. Glad it worked for me.

Lee since we are up to 5 members now with bricked units do you guys think it might be appropriate to post some type of update warning sticky?

Hello all
From what I see I am not the only one who's bricked during the up date, pretty much tried everything short of hitting it with a hammer, letting the battery drain then fully charging it to see if that will do anything,I can have the 3 gears and explanation point but can tilt it and see the lower half of the desktop which shows a internet connection a e-mail and the battery icon which has a question mark in it if it is pugged in or unplugged? any feed back on that. I do have a RMA in also.

Three gears and an exclamation point here... Bricked here as well, I have tried everything, and no solution other than RMA so far... holding off in hope for a fix for now...

It took me 3 times to download the update... I kept failing on the camera update part. Eventually it downloaded and finally installed (it kept freezing and had to be rebooted to respond) however the update seems to have a huge improvement on the overall smoothness of the talets use. Almost night and day it seems.

Last thing I can think of is plug the Prime into your PC and go to My Computer, Prime, micro SD card, downloads, and delete the latest updates that it downloaded today and try to rerun the one that we got when we first received the Prime.
