Asus TF Prime and mobile phone charging

Hello to everybody!
I'd like to ask a very important question about the prime (I'd decide to buy it basing on your answers!)

Is it possible to connect an android mobile phone (microusb cable) to the transformer prime (I imagine using the 40 pins port) and let the phone charge?

Since there will not be a 3g model that is quite important!

I use my TF101 to charge my iPhone all the time. The TF201 should act the same way.

I just used the TF Keyboard Dock and an iPhone/iPod charging cable.

no, to charge a phone via a tablet you'd need a usb port, and the tablet doesn't has a usb port, only the dock has one.

Asus does sell a USB adapter that plugs into the tablet so you can use USB devices. Check their website its on there.

The wall or your computer . Sorry, I'm sure it was an honest question . No, the only plugs that provide power are on the dock - unless you can get a hold of one of the elusive USB adapters that supposedly existed, but I'm not sure if anyone got one (it plugs into the bottom of the TF).

Does the usb adapter work on Transformer Prime? Does it provide power? (charge)

Going by the accessories listed for the Prime (on Asus' web-site) the USB adapter for the tablet is one of those shown. Part of the USB 2.0 specification is that the port provides 5v (+ or - 5%) and supports both high power (500mA)/low power (100mA) devices. So if the device charges on a standard PC USB 2.0 port then it should also charge via the adapter. But we'll probably have to wait and see until the accessories are shipped and then tested specifically on the Prime.
