Lots of reports of this happening. People are even posting reviews on the item stating their order was canceled. My order is still good, but am starting to sweat.

Did your order have the 499/599 price or the discounted 484/584 price?

Wow thats crap... I ordered from best buy cause I have certificates... but that just sucks man. I would think amazon would get a big shipment.

Yep, me too and I'm an Amazon Prime member who ordered very early on Nov. 22nd when they were $492. Hmmm...makes me wonder if they are cancelling the discounted price orders.

Is it only the amethyst gray? I ordered on the 22nd, a CG color, and have not received a cancellation email.

It's a little strange that they would just cancel a preorder rather then tell you that the ship date has been postponed, and then allow you to cancel, if you wish. They must have some internal policy that if fulfillment is pushed too far out, they just cancel.

I do not see the unavailability of the TF2 as an Amazon issue ... it's Asus' fault for making a very cool product and then underestimating its demand!

Amazon is very cool, IMO, supported by the fact that they even went out of their way in the email to refer buyers to other vendors...

I ordered about noon CST on the 22nd and ended up paying the $499 plus 1-day shipping. And I did get the gray .... Im just a little pissed off about this!

is it worth trying to go ahead and pre-order from Best buy of Tiger Direct or Newegg?

Any ideas?
