It's possible, since December 12 is the only 'official' release date in that region that we currently have.

But even that is in doubt, a comment on The Verge says:

That’s actually incorrect and outdated info. A few hours ASUS PR sent us an updated timeline where Dec 12 online was moved to 19th as well. Guess The Verge didn’t get the memo (yet).

Engadget I believe it was got over 10 hours battery life on their test. 50% brightness, mostly playing video. It came in at 9 minutes under the IPad 2 for the same test. This is the tablet alone.

One possibility is that something is happening with their test that it is firing all 4 cores for a significant amount of time.

Not sure if I'm just odd with this one, but I rarely have my brightness on devices higher than 50%. My IPhone 3GS right now is around 45% and I can't remember the last time I changed it. The display on the transformer should be brighter, so I assume I'll be lower than that.

TOTAL BS THEY CHANGE FROM 8th to the 19th after this ASUS has lost my family as customers. Pathetic communications and almost no care about their customers questions then they answer and keep changing said answer.

You are upset because they push release date by eleven days? Eleven days? Are you mad? They did not even announce December 8 as a release date officially, it was all rumours. They announced online availability in US from 12th, but that is possibly still 19th, just a week later.

Seriously, if you won't buy the tablet because of eleven day postponement from the release date that you were hoping for, then perhaps you should not use a tablet in the first place.
