    Developmental Roadmap - First Steps

Came from a Color Nook rooted background so could not wait to root my Prime. Thanks Viperboy where ever you are.
Installed Titanium Backup and have backed up to an external sd.
Installed Clockwork Mod as this was a required tool on the rooted Color Nook to install customer ROMS and to occasionally start over when things went south.

As I now understand it the first step in ROM development and modification is to either attempt to unencrypt the AUSU boot loader or wait until ASUS provides an update without encryption which was to have been in February. So I assume everyone is waiting.

I was wondering what the road map is after we receive the unencrypted boot loader and at what needs to be done to be able to backup the entire device including the ROM?

    Thanks

    Welcome to the forums.

ASUS is pretty open with the Prime unlike the Nook and quite frankly I recommend base ICS with root over CM7 (not needed). Unless you want to install another operating system other than Android you should not need any sort of loader. Simple root, can sideload or install anything directly (with the file manager even). Titanbackup or even the provided app backup from ASUS to archive.

What is it you are looking to do specifically and we can probably help you with it? I would highly recommend you do a reset and go back to stock + root. This tablet is NOT a Nook and we don't have to deal with Amazon / B&N.

Can you direct me to how I might get back to stock + root?
I have unlocked the boot loader and installed the CWM.
What I was looking for was the future of customized functionality via custom ROMs although that is an assumption.
ASUS has been very good at providing updates and the basic functions are well done.
