Transformer Prime Dock, a problem out of the box?

I just received my Prime and took the dock out of the box this morning. The U-shaped hinged "dock" part of the equipment seems stuck. The slider is mostly hidden behind the hinge -- I can get a penpoint on it, but the slide seems stuck too. Am I just missing something here? Or do I need another dock?

    Your help would be appreciated.

LOL. Same thing happened to me. I got pretty frustrated w/it myself. Make sure the rubber plugs are removed. Honestly, I can't remember how I fiddled and faddled (tech terms?) but it finally slid on.
Don't try using any pen tips or sharp objects to unlock the slide. I know it's not that bc I tried it too. I'm sure someone will chime in soon enough with the answer. Patience grasshopper.
    Sorry I wasn't much help.
BUT you will enjoy your new dock soon enough

Yes, remember the rubber plugs in the bottom of the tablet & remove them carefully.
Also, I'm not sure if you're just concerned about the U hinge?
You mention the slider, I think you mean the locking mech on the keyboard, partially hidden?
I'll attach two snaps, first one is with the hinge down or collapsed against the keyboard.
Second image I've pushed or straightened the hinge. You can do that with your fingers.
I just wasn't clear from your post if you thought your hinge was wonky....here's a reference...
    Hinge down...

    Hinge up....

    Thanks, all

Thanks for the prompt responses. My hinge seems to me stuck in the down/closed position. I was afraid to force it open -- but that's what I should do?

I'm not sure how it could be stuck in the down position....I mean they must be checked when they leave the factory(???)
Guess I'm asking myself...stranger things have happened.
I would put the keyboard on a flat surface, hold the key part down with your palms, put a thumb on each side of the hinge
and try to push it upwards....they are stiff at first, but once it gets out of that 'fully closed' position it should slide up.
If you need to use a crowbar, obviously there is some problem...but it could take a wee more umph than you've used? Not sure.

As an aside, thank you for mentioning the plugs. There is not one word about them in the instructions and I thought there was something wrong with my Prime or my keyboard. My hinges were very tight at first as well. I just carefully worked at it until it opened and now I have no problem. Thanks again!
