Zombi-Pop for 701 coming!
Heads up, flashaholics, I just saw a post by @sdbags on XDA: his initial testing team is trying out Zombi-Pop for the 701. So I am having another crisis of impatience.

And the man did it again! Did not think any rom would "feel" better than CROMi-X. But it does.....uploadfromtaptalk1433734328585.png

Did you get on the beta team, or is there somewhere to d/l it that I missed? While CROMi-X7 is working well for me, I have never liked the feel of ANY KK ROM. Somehow LP just feels more righteous. And of course what it did for my other TFs...

Yes, I am testing the beta. It won't be long before he releases it though - so far nobody has found any significant problem....

At the risk of repeating myself, a beta from this team is as good as most polished final releases. And I want it NOW! Oh, uh, wasn't that what got me into trouble last time? They say memory is short for that sort of thing, but I can't really remember...

And just in time, my weekend is just about up. You know, at one time I had a lot of hair! Guess it's time to practice that patience. BACK IT ALL UP KEVIN!
BTW there is also another LP ROM just released, BlissPop. Anyone know anything?

CM based.... Probably not for me. And I've done enough wiping/formatting for the week. And I still have to flash b2 on the 700....

how does zombi pop compare to the cm 12.1 rom seen on droid basement? which rom might offer the best battery life? (both for on screen time and standby?)

Hey, got a brand new tablet again! Just shot my "clean" Nandroid (no accounts, passwords, nothing personal at all. Suitable for sharing if necessary).
TWRP continues to exhibit stability issues, but so far no game-killers. On this install, Aroma installer crashed just after I set all the options and hit the install button, had to run through it all again, worked perfect second time around. But after booting the new ROM and letting it settle in for 15-20 minutes, then booting recovery to get the above Nandroid, no touchscreen. Had to force power off with the hardware button, but then rebooted with volume-down and no further problems.
Next few evenings I'll be busy setting up the new-again toy. Beats hanging out in the bars (or worse, the downtown parks)!
@davioh, too early to have exact data on your question. However, Zombi is put together and maintained just for the TFs and has an amazing team behind it. CM may well have just as good a team, although that would be hard to do, but it is developed for as wide a range of hardware as they can manage with a set of tweaks for device compatibility. There is simply no way they can possibly put in as many device-specific performance tweaks as the Zombi/Omni team put into Zombi-Pop. I am guessing that battery life will be comparable while Zombi will be way ahead on performance.
