TRANSFORMER FORUMS LEGEND
Welcome to the New Transformer Infinity (Tegra 4) Forum!
Well, this is where it gets confusing. We don't have a model number for this new device, all we have is "NEW TRANSFORMER INFINITY" and that it runs a Tegra 4 instead of a Tegra 3.
This tablet was announced at Computex in 2013. We don't have much info on pricing or launch date, but here is what we do know:
- 10.1-inch 2,560 x 1,600 display
- NVIDIA’s quad-core Tegra 4 chipset clocked at 1.9GHz
- 2GB of RAM
- 5 megapixel rear camera
- 1.2 megapixel front camera
- 32Gb of internal storage
- Bluetooth 3.0
- USB 3.0, an SD card slot (probably part of the dock)
- HDMI-out with support for 4K video
Not a killer spec list (and some specs are lower than the previous TF700) but the big news is the display resolution. Is it too much? Can you tell a difference? Is it worth the upgrade? Will there be a 64 GB (or 128 GB) variety?
Stay here and discuss with us and we will keep you updated as we learn more about it.

It would be interesting how Asus integrates this package vs. the ill performing TF700T which I just ended up selling mine due to the crippling memory chip issues they are plagued with. My Nexus 10 and iPAD 4, even my kids Nook HD+ units do not exhibit this. Hoping the IPS+ screen carries over and the 5mp from 8mp is due to better noise reducing abilities. Will follow the release of this tablet closely. I also do not see any info concerning a microsd slot, something I sorely miss with my Nexus 10 vs. my Tf700

I would assume, given that every android tablet that has not been designated a nexus has had a micro SD card slot that thois one will as well even the $150 "Chinese" tablet has one.
As for memory speed I think that the reason the earlier transformers had problems,s was that the CPU speed had overcome the read/right speed something which hadn't occurred with the slower tf101 and was a mistake on Asus' part when they put tegra 3 into there last generation of tablets.
I am almost 100% positive that given the push for the highest quality specs in the Iindustry, that Asus will bump up the the memory speed on their entire new line up of tablets for this year to a newer and faster card (they most likely couldn't have done that sooner if they had ordered a massive amount of the slower cards)
Devices: Asus TF300t [Deceased], Asus t100TA -64GB, Google Nexus 6P
