Unfortunately, boot command is not accessible with locked bootloader.
I have to admit that like many others, I have a 400 brick, thank you Asus !

Thank you very much Kevin and Droidbound for all your suggestions and your time !

That tablet works to this day, but it's gotten so slow and laggy (sort of like me) that I couldn't stand it anymore. I think it's going to be put out to pasture as a digital photo frame, it does have a nice display.
I think that's where my TF700 is headed. Even with Nougatella relatively fresh it is just so slooooooow!! I am getting so tired of constantly wiping and reinstalling that thing. And then I thought of checking the network speed for it. And realized it does not support 5G. It's on the 2.4 ghz band and it was pulling 2.8 mbs download!!! It actually got twice that in upload speed on the test
So I ran a diagnostic on the 2.4 ghz band and everybody in 2 mile radius seems to have every appliance including the fridge and furnace running on it. I changed the channel to something nobody else is using and got it to 8 mbs download. That gets it into territory just below the pain threshold. But.... the TF701 on 5G is pulling 58 mbs.... That's like: No contest
Sad. I love the TF700. But at some point it's time to accept that it is just no longer functional, I guess. Tech moved on and left it behind. Like life did to us, right??

The bottleneck on mine is my ISP, problem is that there are no broadband-capable wires in the neighborhood, let alone fiber optics. I have a choice between satellite and ground-based radio, and the satellite has latency problems even though the download speeds are better for the buck (my theory is it's caused by the lightspeed lag). So at this point the 700 and the 701 perform about the same, with the 300 tagging along behind, all running KatKiss. The 701 boots much faster is all, and as I said, I'm still waiting for it to turn itself inside out, or vanish in a puff of smoke, or simply do nothing next time I try to boot it. With a battery replacement or two, my two 700s should outlast me (I hope).

I get about 30Mbps up and down on my T700T when I'm in my fiber location. I'm not sure if that's the limit of the transformer or the network at the time, I suspect the former. And yes, the limiting factor on 2.4GHz these days is usually interference. Wi-fi access points all over the place, and a ton of users. I can see dramatic differences in locations which used to be alone in the past, but now surrounded by other networks.
Ah, the time when I could connect to the airport from my PDA, even though the airport was 1 km away.. now it's difficult to connect from inside, with a tablet. 5GHz would probably help there.

You guys probably don't want to hear that I get 105Mbbs then...

For some bizarre business reason, Virgin only allow a vastly reduced upload speed. I'm contracted for 100 down, 5 up but get marginally more.

According to the Raspberry Pi team, US ISPs are "horribly oversubscribed" (IIRC that's the exact term they used a couple years ago in a blog post). Apparently you in the UK get much better service. It may have something to do with the fact that Congress refuses to admit that internet service is a utility. Being able to see something right in front of you is not one of the requirements for getting elected to Congress.
