Problem solved! due to a useful tip from our friends at XDA, what needed to be flashed for CWM was: fastboot -i 0x0B05 flash recovery recovery.img

CWM Flashed and now happily residing in my tab! yay!

Droidbound, thank you so much for all of your help to this point.

Glad that worked! That was actually my XDA alter ego thinking of that trick
But who cares - it worked and that's all that counts!

Yep, it did, and with that hurdle crossed it was a piece of cake to flash Cromi-X in and which I'm enjoying tremendously. Thanks to you in your mild-mannered state and in your secret identity! lol. Didin't realize I was talking to the same person in two places!

    Hi all!
I want to install Custom Recovery [CWM] and get root on my Asus TF701T. After being investigating in the forum I'd like just to make it sure I have the correct procedure. I received the latest Asus firmware via OTA [KOT49H.WW_epad-11.4.1.27-20141017], so if I've understood well the steps are:
1.- Unlock the bootloader via the official Asus app.
2.- Flash CWM 6.0.5.1 (instead of 6.0.5.0 version) via fastboot, based on the instructions given here
3.- Flash "SuperSU" in recovery or the amazing "CROMi-X 7.1" rom based on this post

Is there something wrong or I missed something? Thank u in advance.

    Merry Xtmas folks!

So... in case of flashing the CROMi there is no problem despiste coming from a 11.4.1.27? I mean... could I 'downgrade' the bootloader to 11.4.1.17 before flashing the CROMi, which is requisite to install it?

There's no need to downgrade the bootloader. CROMi-X 7.0.3 runs just fine on the .27 bootloader. That is the combination I am running right now.
