Hmm, seems kinda risky what I'm trying developers warning of boot loops...does titanium backup allow complete backup and restore to and from sd cards?

That's what nandroids are for. TiBu is ost useful for backing up apps and their settings.
Make a nandroid in TWRP (backup option) before you try risky stuff. As long as you can get into recovery, you can laways restore the last nandroid. Mind the "as long as"....

I'm pretty sure you can only install a custom recovery if you unlock the bootloader (and void warranty). Towelroot on its own won't allow you to do that.

So let me get it straight... TO be safe I should have. TWRP BY JMZ software available on Google play. Then I need to enable / purchase. NANDROID inside of Twrp?
Then I should also get Titanium backup (which takes care of apps but not the OS)? And. Get it all backed up to a large enough sd card?
Ps any way to verify the sd card is good and backup is on it?
PPS TWRP says root only on Google play doesn't mention needing an unlocked bootloader.

Update, the tablet appears to have lost only 1% battery in about 12 hour! That alone seems pretty darn good! Is anyone aware, does rooting somehow allow more hardware, software or stuff in the OS to be turned off when the screen is off?

Sorry, occupational error so to speak... Forgot which thread I was in.
So, forget the nandroid, you can make one if you have a custom recovery. But you need to unlock the bootloader for that.
Being on rooted stock be careful! Your options to recover from problems caused by Xposed modules are very limited.

Can you explain the options? Would titanium backup alone be enough to backup the entire. Image of the internal memory of the tablet to micro sd?

Titanium Backup can do system apps, their data, user apps and their data. But you cannot create a partition image with it. For that you need a custom recovery like TWRP or CWM.
Read my Beginner's guide in the Development section for more info to that.

Can TWRP ACTUALLY BACKUP EVERYTHING ONTO one micro sd card assuming it's big enough ( I got a 64gb micro sd card on sale)? I'd like as much simplicity if possible vs. Having 2-3 apps for separate functions.

Hmm it's not to be found under tf701 development sub forum...is it elsewhere?
