    Flashing unlocked tf701 through Recovery

TF701T is unlocked and stuck at the Asus logo. Need to try and flash the stock image through recovery. Does anyone know what the zip file should be renamed too? The TF700T was EP201_768_SDUPDATE.ZIP. But this does not seem to work with the TF701T.

Welcome to the Forum. I think you need to unpack the zip file to get to the actual FW.

I did try extracting the zip and copying the file UL-K00C-US-10.14.1.47-user.zip to the sdcard and boot to recovery. I get a dead android. I renamed the file EP201_768_SDUPDATE.ZIP and the same results. Also tried EP701_768_SDUPDATE.ZIP as well. Tried a 64GB and a 8GB sdcards as well.

How are the microSD cards formatted? If they are exFAT, stock recovery will not work. They have to be FAT32. 64 GB cards default to exFAT.

If it boots normally, you can try putting the update file in the /sdcard/ directory and it should flash as well. Most likely it will notify you of a system update found in the OS, tap the notification and it will boot to recovery and flash.

It won't boot past the Asus logo. I formatted the sdcards fat32 using gparted.

I've been trying other options as well. I extracted the factory zip file. Flashed the boot.img to boot, blob to staging, formatted system, and flashed the entire zip to system. Kinda pulling my hair out over this one.

One difference that I can see is the blob file in the UL-K00C-US-10.14.1.47-user.zip is only 2MB in size. So there is no larger system blob file that I can fastboot flash staging blob. Maybe that is my problem at this point.

It would be nice if you can somehow find out what filename it's expecting in order to restore it through recovery.

I saw this type of thing on my 700. When I did ALL the unzipping and file renaming on the PC and then copied those results to the root of the sdcard inserted into a card reader on the PC and then placed the sdcard in the 700 it works everytime. The EP201 file renaming would only work if done in this manner for me. Dunno why it made any difference but it did.
