TF701 has anyone got root yet on this new Transformer?

I have used the unlock tool from the Asus support site and various rooting apps all seem to fail. Vroot etc
Has anyone managed to root this beast yet, coming from a Nexus 10 I can stand the 15 or so bloatware apps that are pretty much useless that Asus pit in the system.

    Needs root badly!

Haven't been able to root it either trying various methods. Me too i want to get rid of some stock apps, add's and restricting from apps starting up all the time.

I hope we'll get root when the tablet will be sold in every country.

Once someone gets TWRP for the TF701, it will be rootable. There is already a bootloader unlock. Then you just need to install TWRP for the TF701 and then install SuperUser via recovery.

It would be nice is a non-unlock exploit is found for users who just want root and don't need to unlock and install custom recovery.

Also, so far XDA does not have a forum for this new tablet. That would make it easier to track the progress.

I already send one of the admins at XDA a PM. I encourage everyone to do the same so they see that there is more then enough interest.

XDA has a subforum for the TF701 now as well

I tried all known methods for rooting but all failed.
Even when you unlock it there is still no TWRP available for the 701.
I asked the devs of twrp on their website to take a look at the 701.

    Check this out.

Haven't tried this, little anxious about bricking and waiting on cyanogenmod anyways...

    Use at own risk.

I have mine rooted. Is this still an issue for you? If so, it's actually pretty easy.

One thing though. As far as I know, there is no TWRP for it yet. Just CWM. So no SD Cards larger than 32GB, nor any that are not FAT32.

If you still need it rooted, let me know and I'll post some links here.
