Thanks for that - I'd like to see some more pictures of how it works with/without the dock. And somebody in the UK that sells it.

Does anybody make/sell a cover for the TF701T with built-in speakers similar to the Belkin "Thunderstorm" case with speakers for the ipad? I like the tablet, but the sound from tiny speaker is barely audible and just not acceptable. A case with either Bluetooth or 3.5mm plug speakers would make the Asus speaker/sound design problem much more bearable. I like the way the Belkin case with speakers look without adding too much additional bulk. I would rather have something attached rather than carry around one more piece of hardware.

    Hi!
I know there was not much activity here lately, but hope somebody will able to suggest something for me.
I have a college laboratory project coming up, where the tablet would be very useful. The only issue is that, it is a microbiology lab, where everything has to be sterilized on enter. Usually this means wiping it with disinfectant. I was thinking of a silicon case which covers the screen as well. I tried as many sites as I could think of, but was not able find anything. Currently I use a leather case, but this will not be allowed into the lab.
Looking for something only for the tablet itself without the dock. I need only be able to turn it in/on, and use the touch screen, so i do not worry about earphones, camera, volume, etc. So if you know any case for a similar size tablet, it would be highly appreciated.
    Thank you!

Hmmm - why not try wrapping it with "cling film" every time you go into the lab and then disgarding the wrapper as you come out.
Cheap and very likely to do the temporary job you need.

Thanks for the idea! If I can not find anything, might give it a try. But hope i'll be able to find something that gives a bit of protection to the device.

Perhaps you can use your existing case for protection and then put the whole thing in one of those clear waterproof tablet bags. They are made to let you take your tablet scuba diving .

Well I understand your aim (I think)...

Given you only need this protection for a short period and given the difficulty in finding a commercially available case, perhaps wrapping the tablet in cling film, followed by your own "bumper" made easily out of silicon piping would give you the sanitisable and protecting cover you need.

Silicon piping like this...2M Clear Food Translucent Silicone Tube Approved Milk Hose Beer Pipe Rubber Soft | eBay

Slit the tubing along its length and slide it over the edges of your cling filmed tf701. It will protect your device from the disinfectant and also provide shock resistance should you drop it.

Maybe I'll patent that idea and retire on the proceeds!
