Wallpapers with KatKiss Nougat

The advisory from KitKass was that wallpapers weren't stable on the ASUS 700 at the time I flashed it a few months ago. I have been able to install wallpapers and they may stay around for a few days only to disappear and leave a black background. Other times I have what appears to be a native pinkish sky and horizon scene appear and then it also disappear to a black screen. Is there any change in this situation?

BTW for anyone thinking about flashing to Nougat, it's wonderful. Much faster, fewer freezes and delays, better features, and it will make you glad you ventured to try flashing this ROM and not throwing your old 700 away!

The place to truly stay up-to-date on stuff like this is the XDA thread. Typically timduru fixes this sort of thing ASAP but he's got a large plate. IIRC the problem is with large wallpapers, you might try de-resolving them.

I just leave it black. Less rendering to do, more juice left for more important stuff

I somewhat decided that fighting with backgrounds wasn't worth it and don't really need to use up power just to make it look pretty when I'm the only one who sees it. Like they say, once you try black you never go back.
