Exclamation May have bricked my tf700t [RESOLVED]

I am a complete noob and apparently have problems following instructions. I was trying to flash a custom ROM on to my tf700t. I flashed TWRP custom recovery and that seemed to be working well. Where I think I made my mistake was when I did a wipe from the bootloader and not from TWRP. Now my tablet will only boot in to recovery and I can't seem to flash any ROMs. When I try to boot to bootloader by pressing volume down and power, nothing happens. If anyone can help me I would greatly appreciate it. Thanks in advance.

You're the 3rd member within a week to do this!! Isn't anybody reading my guide??? LOL - just kidding..

Ok what happens if you use Wipe Data from the bootloader with a custom recovery installed is this:
The bootloader writes a command to the misc partition calling the recovery to perform a wipe of /data.
TWRP doesn't quite "get" this command since it was written for the stock recovery.
Now every time you boot, the bootloader checks the misc partition (before doing anything else), finds the wipe data command, calls the recovery to do it, TWRP starts but doesn't get it, the user reboots - rinse and repeat ad nauseam.

Your only chance is to connect the tablet to power, boot it, the recovery will start and then leave it alone. CWM recovery ususally sorts it out in a few hours, don't know about TWRP. Leave it alone for up to 8 hours and pray that it finally executes the wipe data command (which would erase it from misc and allow you fastboot access again).
Good luck and let us know how it went

Thanks for the reply. If all goes well and things sort themselves out I'll definitely check out your guide and make sure to follow it to the letter.

Another thing to try while the tablet is in recovery:
Check if you may have adb access from a cmd prompt:
    Code:
    adb devices
That would be fabulous since then you could use _that's bootit.ko to kick the tablet back into the bootloader, fastboot erase the misc partition and you shoud be back to normal.
Check that out and I can give more specific instructions if you do have adb in recovery.

I opened a cmd window using Minimal ADB and Fastboot and typed "adb devices" and it said :

Adb server is out of date. Killing...
    *daemon started successfully*
    List of devices attached
    0123456789ABCDEF recovery

    So, what's the next step?

By the way, thanks a bunch for helping me out. I'm very grateful.

    That is GREAT!
Ok, you want to download the bootit.ko, push it to your internal sd in adb and then you use a shell command to use bootit.ko to boot back into the bootloader.

    Download bootit.ko from here: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...70&postcount=7
Push it to your tab using the command stated in that post and insmod it as stated.
That should boot you back into the bootloader.
    Then, if
    Code:
    fastboot devices
is successful (working fastboot connection), issue these commands
    Code:
    fastboot erase misc
    fastboot reboot
You should be out of the loop now and be able to boot normally.

With a custom recovery installed, never ever use the Wipe Data or factory reset from Settings! Only use your recovery to perform wipes!
I'm on the edge of my seat here and wish you GOOD LUCK!

    Another edit:
Once you download the bootit.ko zip, extract it and just put bootit.ko into your adb/fastboot folder, then issue the commands.
Should have made that clear right away...

It worked! Thank you so much for your help.

Now....will you please direct me to your guide so that I might flash a ROM properly?

I really don't know how to tell you how much I appreciate your help...I really thought that I had a very expensive paperweight on my hands.

*Edit: I found your guide. Any suggestions of good ROMs?

Not sure adb is actually working.
Try to push the file and post the return.
IIRC that's exactly what my 700 returns in fastboot. All's well if ends swell... or something like that...

@SOCM, check the links in DB's signature. Should give you some ROM ideas. The most conservative custom ROM (read stable and problem-free) is CROMi-X, it looks a lot like stock because it's based on it, but with massive performance improvements. My 700 loves it.

    Coooooool!!!
Make sure you hit the Thanks button on any post by _that you encounter. That man really is a genius...

For roms I agree with Kevin. CROMi-X is tried and true.
If you want to try a KK rom, nandroid your CROMI-X installation and flash either CROMBi-KK or my current favorite: ZOMBi-X (which I love just for it's boot animation! LOL).
Both are not quite as polished as CROMi-X since they are ports of CM but very good indeed.
