I can't boot my tablet into recovery mode

Some how I lost the recovery for my tablet. So now when I try to boot into recovery it hangs at the booting into recovery in the upper left corner. The screen will not shut off. I installed adb, but device manager does not show the tablet. I have no idea how to fix this. I don't know how to install the recovery if the tablet will not boot. I really need help here please. Thanks

    Are you unlocked?

    I assume so.

Did you ever install a custom recovery?

    Can you get into Fastboot?

Do you have a 4.1 or 4.2 bootloader?

    Yes, I'm unlocked
Yes I installed a custom recovery
I can not get to fastboot
As for the bootloader, I'm asumming 4.1. I'm not sure.
I have looked everywhere online for the solution. The only solution I've found is to ship it to asus to get it fixed. Thanks for the reply

Yeah, I am not sure that there is anything you can do if it wont get to FastBoot or the menu options to choose.

I am not a TF700T expert though, so maybe someone will be along to help. Oh @DroidBound....

Thanks for the vote of confidence Frederuco

It would be helpful if you could describe in detail what happened. You don't just loose the recovery - at least I have never heard of it getting corrupted out of the blue.... Which recovery did you have installed?

ADB won't help here because your tablet needs to be booted for that to work. You need to have fastboot drivers installed on your PC to get access in fastboot - but I'm not sure if you have access to the bootloader menu.
You say, it hangs when you try to boot into recovery. Does that mean you CAN get into the bootloader and it hangs when you select RCK?
If you are on a 4.2 bootloader you are in fastboot mode as soon as you get the bootloader menu, that is when you see the three icons: RCK, Android, Wipe Data
If you are on a 4.1 bootloader, you would see 4 icons: RCK, Android, USB, Wipe Data. You have to use Volume Down to get USB to flash, then press Volume Up to get into fastboot mode.

If you do have fastboot access you can push TWRP to your tablet.
With fastboot installed on your PC, in a command prompt, type

    fastboot devices

If it works it will return the serial number of your tablet. If not you see: no devices detected

You can also try to use the Minimal ADB Fastboot tool: http://forum.xda-developers.com/show...php?p=42407269

But basically I'm poking in the dark here - need more info.....

I have rom manager installed on the tablet, I had twrp installed. I updated the recovery through this program. That was my mistake. Rom manager does not play well with my tablet.
I don't have access to the boot menu. No icons show up on the screen. It freezes before it gets to that.
I must have had 4.2 bootloader, because I remember 3 icons.

    Oh sh***!
Unfortunately ROM Manager is very bad for our tablets.
If you cannot boot into the bootloader (to the screen with 3 icons) this is a hard brick and can only be solved by replacing the mainboard.
    Sorry.
