Bluetooth items not working after 4.2.1
Hi folkes,
I can no longer connect my ps3 wireless controller nor can I use my jabra headset since 4.2.1
The Bluetooth icon in the tray is greyed out even though it is set to ON.
I use the search for devices and no joy. Both connected in a flash prior to 4.2.1
I used both yesterday on 4.1.1 and they worked fine.
As well I have noted that on 4.1.1 I could not get my Dream Gear game pad (bought for 2nd pad for PS3) to function, but now it does . It comes with a usb sender wich I will assume is sending a 2.4ghz signal.
I'm on a tf700t whith keyboard and it's on stock....with no modifications.
I have cold booted 3 times now and Bluetooth is still not working.
Do I have to do a factory data reset.(please say no)
Any help to get my bluetooth to work again please let me know this would be great.

If you are stock, not rooted I would try the factory reset, sorry, There have been issues with the bluetooth and rooted users, the is a fix for rooted users.

thank you...was trying hard to avoid that...will post results soon

Actually, if I remember correctly, They did away with the bluetooth to PS3 controllers because it was an issue on the tf300 as well. And I dont think there has been a solution to it other then not using 4.2.1 but I am not positive.

I would try doing a second reset, seriously it souds funny but hey why not. If you can not get it working I would call ASUS. I know you are not alone, but you are in the minority as far I can tell. Definitely an ASUS should fix issue.

No joy the second reset either...I will just call tommorrow.

When you speak to them, have them notify the dev team of the issue. You wont be able to speak to the devs directly but when they release a bug patch, which asus always does, maybe they will have it patched if they know what the problem is and can repeat it.

I have reported the bluetooth items ( PS3 game pad and jabra BT2020) to Asus as non functional as of 4.2.1 update.
The person I spoke with seems to think my bluetooth icon should be blue at the bottom of the sreen without having any reciever connected. It is not blue , it is greyed out.....should it be blue just by being on?
I had tried factory reset a total of 4 times before giving up.
I am waiting for a call back from asus for an explanation................
