    Yellow vertical line help.

    Hi I have had my infinity tf700t since august 2012. Today I have a screen issue. I have a vertical line on the right side of my screen. It really show in white areas but in dark color I can't see it. I have done cold boots and even factory reset twice and issue still remains. Is this a hardware error?

    Sounds like a hardware error if it remains after a factory data reset.

    Thanks for the help.

    Is that something that would be covered under warranty?

    I am running most current updates on the tablet 4.1.1 not rooted or unlocked, all stock.

    Yellow vertical line help.

    I would say yes. It is not something you did, but a defect in the display. I would do the factory reset just to be sure it is not software related.

    That is the first thing Asus is gonna recommend when you call them about returning it.

    Thanks again for the help. I will give them a call. I already did 2 factory resets to see if it would go away but that did not help.

    Contacted Asus support today and got a RMA number. Sending out device for service later today.

    A quick update on my RMA.

    So I got it back this morning and I must say that was fast. This is what was repaired on my device.

    1. Abnormal lines display on LCD (new part - LED)
    2. Gap Anomaly (new part - Cover assembly)

    After checking the device I also notice my volume buttons are a lot more solid, they where a bit loose when I first got the tablet but didn't think much of it. All is good now, overall the tablet feels more solid.

    HI,

    Just wanted to let you know, that I had the same issue, except that the line was green It was as well covered under warranty and it took only 5 days from picking up the tablet to receive it back. Very pleased with the Asus service !!
